Questions people ask
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing with your name on it. Everything you log lives in a database on your phone.
- What leaves my phone?
- Nothing you log: not the count, the rating, the tags, the mood, your notes, the Partner Book or the times. The app can send anonymous crash reports and anonymous usage events. The privacy policy lists exactly what those contain.
- How much does it cost?
- Nut Pro is 3.99 a month or 19.99 a year, each with two weeks free, or 199.99 once for lifetime. Prices are in US dollars and your store shows your local price. There are no ads on any plan.
- How do I cancel?
- In your App Store or Google Play account, under Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before a trial or a period ends to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Can I edit or delete an entry?
- Yes, from day one. Open an entry from History to change it, or delete it from History. You can also backdate an entry up to a week.
- How do I export my data?
- Settings, Your data, Export gives you the whole history as CSV or JSON. It works with or without a plan.
- How do I delete my data?
- Settings, Your data, Delete everything. It asks twice, then it is gone for good. The delete your data page has every option, one step at a time.
- I lost my phone. Can you restore my data?
- We cannot, because we never had it. If you saved a Local backup file somewhere off the phone, Settings, Your data, Restore brings it back on the new one. Export now and then if your numbers matter to you.
- Can I switch between Buster and Hazel?
- Any time, in Settings, Appearance, Companion. You can change who keeps you company and what you count separately, and neither change touches a streak, a badge or a balance.
- What is No Nut Mode?
- No Nut Mode flips the whole app, so the streak becomes the days you did not. Just Tracking does neither: no goals, no opinions, just the numbers. Change mode in Settings, Logging, Mode, once a week.
- What do the notifications say?
- Nothing about what they are for. Discreet notifications keep the lock screen text vague, and you choose which ones you get in Settings, Notifications.
- Why is it 18+?
- It is a humour tracker about an adult habit, so it is rated for adults in both stores and asks you to confirm your age before you can log anything. It keeps a yes and the time you said it, never a date of birth.
