The short version
The Nut Tracker needs Nut Pro after onboarding. Pick Monthly or Yearly, each with a two week free trial, or pay once for Lifetime. Everything is bought through the App Store or Google Play, so they take the payment, they run cancellations and they decide refunds.
A trial becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. A subscription renews until you cancel it. Cancelling takes a few taps in your phone’s settings.
Whatever happens to your subscription, you can always export your data and delete it. We never delete it for you, because we never had it. No ads, on any tier, ever.
These subscription terms are part of the terms of service. If they conflict on anything about purchases, these win.
1. Who you are buying from
Nut Pro and the cosmetic packs are provided by Kallos Labs LLC, and sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play (“the store”). The store is the seller of record. That means:
- the store takes your payment, using the payment method on your Apple ID or Google account;
- the store’s own terms apply to the purchase, alongside these;
- the store handles billing, cancellation, refunds and receipts;
- we never see your card or payment details. See section 10 of the privacy policy.
2. Plans and prices
| Plan | Price in US dollars | Billing | Free trial |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nut Pro Monthly | 3.99 | Every month, renews automatically | Two weeks |
| Nut Pro Yearly | 19.99 | Every year, renews automatically | Two weeks |
| Nut Pro Lifetime | 199.99 | Once | None |
| Cosmetic pack | 1.99 each | Once | None |
These are the US prices. Prices vary by country and by store, and may be rounded to local price points. The store shows you the exact price, in your currency and including any tax it collects, before you confirm. That is the price you pay.
The app has a paywall at the end of onboarding. There is no free tier: to use the app beyond onboarding you start a trial, subscribe, or buy Lifetime.
3. What Nut Pro includes
Nut Pro unlocks the app: logging, your history, stats, streaks, badges, quests, both mascots and the rest of the app’s features, for as long as your plan is active.
[CONFIRM] Dima to confirm the exact list of what is behind the paywall in version 1.0, and whether anything beyond export and deletion (for example the Settings screens, the Privacy screen, or read only access to your history) stays open without a plan.
Some things are never behind the paywall, on any plan or none:
- Exporting your data, as JSON or CSV.
- Deleting your data: a single entry, the Partner Book, or everything.
- Withdrawing your consent, and the crash report and usage data toggles.
- No ads. There are none on any tier and there never will be.
4. Lifetime
Nut Pro Lifetime is a one time purchase. There is no free trial, no renewal and nothing further to pay. It gives you Nut Pro for as long as we offer the app on your platform.
[CONFIRM] The product plan describes Lifetime as the patron tier: lifetime Pro plus every cosmetic pack, an exclusive icon and badge, and a name in the credits. Confirm which of these ship, and list them here, before launch.
[CONFIRM] “For as long as we offer the app” needs counsel’s wording, in particular what Lifetime holders are owed if the app is withdrawn.
If you already have a Monthly or Yearly subscription when you buy Lifetime, the subscription does not stop by itself. Cancel it in your store settings as section 8 explains, or you will keep being charged for it.
5. Free trials
- Length. Monthly and Yearly each come with a two week free trial. Lifetime has no trial.
- It converts automatically. When the trial ends, your subscription starts and the store charges you for the first period of the plan you chose, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- The store runs it. The trial is started, tracked and cancelled in the store, not by us. The store shows the date the trial ends and the price you will pay before you start it.
- One trial per store account. A free trial is offered once per Apple ID or Google account. If you have had a Nut Pro trial before, on either plan, the store may not offer you another. [CONFIRM] against how the subscription group is set up in App Store Connect and Play Console.
- Cancelling during the trial means you are not charged. Whether you keep access until the trial’s end date depends on the store’s rules.
- Buying during a trial. If you buy a subscription or Lifetime during a free trial, any unused part of the trial may be forfeited, as the store’s rules provide.
6. Automatic renewal
For Monthly and Yearly:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase, or when your free trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same length and at the then current price, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription, and turn off auto renewal, in your App Store or Google Play account settings at any time after purchase.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the current period, and you keep Nut Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
7. Price changes
We may change the price of Nut Pro. If we raise the price of a subscription you already have, the store tells you before the new price applies to you, and, where the store’s rules or the law require it, asks for your agreement first. If you do not agree, cancel before the next renewal and you will not pay the new price. If the store requires your agreement and you do not give it, your subscription ends at the end of the current period.
A price change never affects a Lifetime purchase you have already made.
8. How to cancel
Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Neither does wiping your data. Cancel in the store:
On iPhone or iPad (App Store)
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Tap The Nut Tracker, then Cancel Subscription.
On Android (Google Play)
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Tap The Nut Tracker, then Cancel subscription.
The stores sometimes move these screens around. If the steps look different, search your store’s help pages for “cancel a subscription”. Both stores also let you cancel on their websites.
We cannot cancel a subscription for you, because we do not have access to your store account, but we are happy to help: email support@thenuttracker.com.
9. Refunds
Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, so their refund rules apply, and refunds are decided by them. We cannot refund a store purchase ourselves.
- App Store: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, or through the receipt email from Apple.
- Google Play: request a refund from your order history in Google Play, or through the Google Play help centre.
This does not affect any right to a refund or remedy you have under the law where you live, for example if what you bought is faulty or not as described.
10. Restoring purchases, and new devices
If you reinstall the app or move to a new phone on the same platform, use Restore Purchases in the app, signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with, and your plan comes back.
Two things restoring does not do:
- It does not bring back your logged entries. They live only on your device. To move them, export them first and use your device’s own backup or the app’s export and restore. See the privacy policy.
- It does not move a purchase between platforms. A plan bought on the App Store cannot be restored on Android, or the other way round. [CONFIRM] that this is the intended behaviour with the chosen purchase provider and no account.
11. When a subscription or trial ends
If your trial ends without converting, or you cancel and your paid period runs out, or a payment fails and the store’s grace period ends:
- Nut Pro stops. The app’s paywall returns, and logging and the other Nut Pro features stop until you subscribe again or buy Lifetime. [CONFIRM] the exact behaviour in the 1.0 build, for example whether your history, stats and streaks stay readable and whether a streak is paused or broken while the plan is inactive.
- Your data stays on your phone, untouched. We do not delete it, because we never had it.
- Export stays available. You can still export everything as JSON or CSV.
- All deletion stays available. You can still delete a single entry, the Partner Book, or everything, and withdraw your consent.
A lapsed subscription never locks you out of your own data. If you subscribe again later, on the same device, everything is where you left it.
12. Cosmetic packs
Cosmetic packs are optional one off purchases at 1.99 each (US price, varies by country and store). They change how the app looks, for example extra themes, icons or mascot outfits. They never contain features, never unlock anything that affects your data, and are never needed to use the app.
A cosmetic pack is yours to keep once bought and does not renew. [CONFIRM] whether cosmetic packs can be used while Nut Pro is inactive, and whether they are included with Lifetime, as the product plan suggests.
13. Family Sharing
[CONFIRM] Dima to decide whether Family Sharing on the App Store, and the Google Play family library, are switched on for Nut Pro and the cosmetic packs. Note that the app is 18+ and family groups can include children, which is an argument for leaving Family Sharing off. Until this is decided: Nut Pro and the cosmetic packs are not shared with family members, and each adult needs their own purchase.
14. EU and UK: your right to withdraw
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have a right to withdraw from a contract for digital content or digital services within 14 days, without giving a reason.
For digital content and services that start straight away, that right can end once the service begins, but only if you have expressly asked for it to start immediately and acknowledged that you lose the right to withdraw once it does. When you buy Nut Pro or a cosmetic pack the store asks for that request and acknowledgement where the law requires it. [CONFIRM] Dima to confirm with counsel whether the stores’ purchase flows are enough on their own, or whether the paywall should also show wording such as:
I want Nut Pro to start now, and I understand that I lose my right to withdraw once it has started.
[CONFIRM] with counsel how the withdrawal period applies to a subscription that begins after a free trial, and state the answer here.
Because the store is the seller, withdrawal requests go to the store: the App Store and Google Play each have a process for them (see section 9). If you have trouble, email us and we will help you through it. Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory rights.
15. United States: automatic renewal disclosures
This section is written to meet the automatic renewal laws of California and other US states. In plain terms:
- The offer terms. Monthly and Yearly renew automatically until you cancel. The price and billing period are shown on the paywall and by the store before you agree, and in section 2 here.
- Trials. A free trial converts to a paid subscription at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. See section 5.
- Your consent. You agree to automatic renewal by confirming the purchase in the store’s payment sheet.
- Acknowledgement. The store sends you a receipt confirming the terms, the price, the billing period and how to cancel.
- Easy cancellation. You can cancel online, in your store settings, at any time, without calling anyone. See section 8.
- Price changes. The store tells you before a new price applies. See section 7.
[CONFIRM] Dima to confirm with counsel whether the store receipts and reminders satisfy each state’s rules, in particular any duty to send an annual reminder before a Yearly plan renews and any state specific notice wording.
16. Taxes and currency
Prices in the store include any sales tax, VAT or GST that the store collects for your country, and are charged in the currency the store uses for your account. The store is responsible for collecting and paying those taxes. Your bank may add its own fees for a foreign currency payment.
17. Changes to these subscription terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect and update the date at the top. A change never takes away the promises in section 3 about export, deletion and no ads.
18. Contact
We aim to answer within 48 hours. For billing, cancellation and refunds, the store is usually the fastest route, but we are always happy to help.
