The short version

This website uses one thing it needs, and one thing it asks for.

  • It remembers your Accept or Reject on the cookie banner, in your own browser.
  • If, and only if, you click Accept, it loads Google Analytics, which sets two cookies so we can count visits.

Reject, close the banner or ignore it, and the analytics never load. You can change your mind any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

The Nut Tracker app uses no cookies at all.

1. What this page covers

This policy covers cookies and similar browser storage on thenuttracker.com, the website of The Nut Tracker, run by Kallos Labs LLC. It sits alongside the privacy policy, which explains what the data is used for and your rights.

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar place in your browser where a website can keep a small value. Both stay on your device; what matters is who reads them and why.

2. What we use

That is the complete list. There are no advertising cookies, no social media cookies, no remarketing and no cross site tracking.

[CONFIRM] Dima to check the live site in a clean browser, before and after Accept, and confirm that no other cookie or storage key appears, including from Vercel (for example preview or firewall cookies) or from embedded article content.

3. Strictly necessary storage

ntt-consent records your choice and nothing else. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it does not identify you. Because it is needed to respect your choice, the law does not require consent for it.

4. Analytics, only after you accept

The site uses Google’s Consent Mode v2, with every kind of storage set to denied by default. The Google Analytics script is not loaded at all until you click Accept on the banner.

  • Accept: Google Analytics 4 loads and sets the two cookies above. We use it to see which pages and articles people read and how they found them. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
  • Reject: the script is never loaded and no analytics cookie is set.
  • Close the banner or ignore it: treated as Reject. Nothing loads.

We have not turned on Google Signals, advertising features, remarketing or advertising data sharing. What Google Analytics collects, the legal basis and how long it is kept are in section 11.3 of the privacy policy.

5. Changing your mind

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to open the banner again and choose differently.

If you withdraw consent after accepting, Google Analytics stops loading from the next page you view. [CONFIRM] that the site also deletes the existing _ga and _ga_<container-id> cookies when consent is withdrawn; if it does not, say here that you can clear them in your browser settings.

You can also clear everything the site has stored, including ntt-consent, by clearing site data for thenuttracker.com in your browser. The banner will then ask again.

[CONFIRM] whether the banner should ask again after a fixed period, such as 12 months, as some European regulators recommend. Today the choice lasts until you change it or clear it.

6. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a Reject: Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookie is set, whatever the banner shows. [CONFIRM] that the banner component reads navigator.globalPrivacyControl before loading analytics; this is a decision, and the code must match it before this page goes live.

Do Not Track. There is no agreed standard for how websites should respond to Do Not Track. Since nothing is tracked here unless you click Accept, a browser sending Do Not Track sees the same site as anyone else who has not accepted. [CONFIRM] whether to also treat Do Not Track as a Reject.

7. Browser controls

Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and site data, either for all sites or for one. Look in your browser’s settings under privacy or site data. Blocking cookies on this site does not break anything: the site works exactly the same without analytics.

Google also offers a browser add on that stops Google Analytics on every site.

8. The app uses no cookies

The Nut Tracker app is not a website and does not use cookies. What the app stores on your phone, and the two optional anonymous streams it can send, are covered in the privacy policy.

9. Changes to this policy

If we add, remove or change a cookie, we will update the table above and the date at the top. If a change needs your consent, the banner will ask you again.
